Overview

A publishing platform for web development and tech tutorials, with a tools ecosystem: Smart Converter, PromptHub, GamingUp and EV Hub. The homepage surfaces tutorials by category alongside search and links into the tools, so a reader following a tutorial that needs a quick conversion or calculation doesn't have to leave the site to find one.

The problem

Tutorials, converters, AI prompts and calculators lived on separate sites, so readers had no single place to learn and then use a tool. Someone reading a tutorial about a unit conversion or an EV range calculation would have to search for a separate, unrelated site to actually run the calculation, with no guarantee that site was maintained or trustworthy, and no way back to related tutorials once they got there.

The solution

Built Bright Coding as a Laravel publishing platform with categories, RSS and a family of free tools — Smart Converter, PromptHub, GamingUp and EV Hub — under one brand. Articles carry a category, author metadata and related topics, so a reader lands somewhere with clear navigation back into the rest of the catalog rather than a dead-end page. Smart Converter bundles more than 50 converters and calculators, PromptHub collects AI prompts, tools and generators, GamingUp hosts free browser games, and EV Hub covers EV calculators, range and charging — each reachable from the same tutorial pages that reference them.

Role

Full Stack Developer — publishing platform, tools ecosystem and production architecture. Built the Laravel backend for content and the individual tools as a linked but separately maintainable set of products under one brand.

Result

Live at blog.brightcoding.dev: tutorials, categories, newsletter and free tools under one brand. Readers can move from an article straight into a related tool instead of searching for one elsewhere, and the tools stay directly reachable for readers who bookmark a calculator rather than a tutorial.
